This project is a collaborative effort of historians, archivists, and community members committed to preserving and sharing transgender history. We extend gratitude to everyone who has contributed research, writing, editing, and design expertise.

Biographical entries and historical context draw from a wide range of primary and secondary sources, including:
- Archival materials from public and community archives
- Published scholarship from historians and researchers
- Oral histories collected by LGBTQ+ organizations
- Public domain imagery and media identified through library collections

The Trans History Project website is built with the following open-source tools:
